I. Linkshell Sanctioned Events/Attendance Issues

The following events are sanctioned, scheduled events done by Beyond:

- Einherjar (Mandatory)
- Zeni NMs
- VNMs
- Stronghold NMs
- Sky/Sea Farming
- Limbus
- Dynamis (Mandatory)
- Salvage

*Beyond also camps HNMs (Kings, Wyrms, TOAU + WOTG HNMs) when windows are appropriate. Keeping HNM ToDs is the responsibility of the entire member-base, especially those who are interested in that particular camp. In order to make certain HNMs happen, ToDs are necessary. See Section VII for more details.

*Please note that Beyond is to be your only event and/or HNM linkshell. You may help out your friends in another linkshell with instanced events or non-competitive events, but if you are skipping Beyond's events to do so, it will not be excused. Also, members are forbidden from doing competitive events with other linkshells. That means HNMs (any difficult NM that isn't force-spawned, be it ground/CoP/ToAU/WoTG) or Einherjar, as attendance to these events in multiple linkshells is mutually exclusive.

II. Linkshell Schedule

Note: Listed times are when the event begins, so please allow 30 minutes or more to gather before every event. Also, events are scheduled 6 out of 7 days in the week. However, this doesn't mean that we will be doing an event on each day - only that we've allotted these slots to be used in the event that they're needed. Events are scheduled a week ahead of time and posted in the Members Only Event Schedule forum and posted in the linkshell message in-game.
Schedule:

Sunday:
- Scheduled Event ~ 7:00 PM EDT

Monday:
- Limbus ~ 6:00 PM EDT
- Einherjar ~ 8:00 PM EDT

Tuesday:
- Dynamis ~ 7:00 PM EDT

Wednesday:
- Scheduled Event ~ 7:00 PM EDT

Thursday:
- Limbus ~ 6:30 PM EDT
- Einherjar ~ 8:30 PM EDT

Friday:
- Scheduled Event ~ 7:00 PM EDT

Saturday:
- Dynamis ~ 6:30 PM EDT

If you're online at the time listed, you are expected to attend these events. Note that Einherjar and Dynamis are mandatory, however that does not mean all other events are optional. Being able to make this event is a big part of your membership. If we catch you off-pearl or just simply skipping the runs several times, expect to be removed. Skipping does not only count for Einherjar, so consider this your warning. If you skip any event multiple times you will be removed. If you are on during event time, you are expected to come.

Note: All times scheduled in EST. Beyond focuses on scheduled endgame events, with the added benefit of HNM camps when it suits our schedule. We do not require, nor expect, members to spend excessive hours at camps, or stay on call. Doing these things is certainly helpful and respected, but in no way required.

III. Loot Distribution

Points-based Distribution System

As of August, 2009, Beyond has instituted a full DKP-style points-based bidding system in order to fairly distribute drops. We award points for each event attended based on a particular scheme (listed below). At the event leaders take bids via in-game /tell for items prior to the items dropping, and then the high bidder is announced as the item drops. The rules for points-bidding are as follows:

- There will be minimum bids for most highly sought-after items. Members bidding must have the posted minimums to attempt to lot an item.

To view minimum bid values, go here: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1231 (Members Only)

- If there are no bids that meet the mimimum, then the item will be sold or called freelot-equippable (FLE with no point cost).

- For items that have been assigned job priority (e.g., Hauteclaire), members without the assigned job will not be allowed to bid points against those with the prioritized job.

For example, Hauteclaire is prioritized to PLD. Only PLDs will be able to bid initially on it. If there are no PLDs with the minimum bid, DRKs will be allowed to bid. If there are no DRKs with the minimum bid, it will become open bid for PLDs and DRKs, and then to freelot.

To view job priorities, go here: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1231 (Members Only)

- Points values assigned:

[*] Scheduled Events: +30 points
[*] Einherjar: +40 points
[*] HNMs camped: +5 points
[*] HNMs killed: +25 points
[*] Dynamis: +30 points
[*] Limbus: +20 points
[*] Salvage: +10 points

- Point distribution is up to the discretion of a leader. More or less points for exceptional circumstances may be awarded. For example, if a particular event lasts a long period of time (usually more than 4-5 hours), a leader may choose to give more points. Similarly, if an event is unsuccessful due to a reason which is directly attributable to member negligence, a leader may choose to give less points.

- Leadership discretion: A leader has the right to refuse to honor any bids if they deem it appropriate. Certain attitude problems or attendance issues may warrant the use of discretion regarding a member's bids. Also, we reserve the right to make exceptions and award items to people who have put in extraordinary effort for a particular item, though this will happen rarely and be the exception to the rule, not the norm.

- In some cases, bidding may be limited to specific members. For instance, if a particular member has been working hard keeping ToD and camping something like Khimaira, leaders may reserve the right to allow that member to bid before others. This is to preserve our policy of rewarding those who have put in the most effort first. Note that just camping something a handful of times doesn't guarantee that we will make this exception for you, but we will be as fair as possible when deciding to conduct bidding in this way.

IV. Salvage

Salvage in Beyond is an optional event, however all members are highly encouraged to join in, this allows us to do multiple zones. Since Salvage is a low-man event and ONLY a low-man event, you will need to speak with one of the members who runs a group once you've been accepted to Beyond. For up-to-date information about this, you may speak with Laron/Aldem.

V. Gil Payouts

At the end of the month, there are minimum of three gil packets to be distributed to members via /random. The highest randoms are rewarded with the packets at the cost of 300 DKP. If you win a packet that month, you are ineligible for next month's packet. You may only obtain packets every other month.

VI. Statements on Required Events

Officially, events are mandatory if the member is online. However, HNMs aren't mandatory in every case, it is up to the decision of a leader if an HNM is deemed mandatory. If we have claim on an HNM, you are required to come assist the linkshell with it. (See #3) The following requirements have been set:

1) Members must maintain good standing in order to bid on an item (in other words, long periods of absence means that your bids will likely be ignored until you've established your attendance upon your return).
2) Members must maintain 70% or greater attendance to be eligible for gil payout.
3) Officers may, on occasion, call for members to gather and assist in the killing of a particular HNM. When this occurs, we expect all members not currently engaged in a bind-commitment (such as a Salvage run, etc.) to assist the linkshell.
4) While we may not spend an entire window camping something like Tiamat (with a long 48 hour window), we will make every effort to go and kill it if possible. Members are responsible for keeping ToDs - this is a good way to show the linkshell that you're dedicated to a camp, especially if the monster you're camping drops items that you are interested in. It is an officer's (or senior member, if no officer is present) duty to call the linkshell to gather together for an HNM that has been camped by a member, if they deem it appropriate. In some cases, we may cancel prescheduled events - in other cases, we may just simply not have enough members online to make the kill. These things will affect the officer's decision in whether or not we gather together.

Note: While we understand that there are tools freely or cheaply available to assist in camping and claiming a HNM, Beyond does not approve of or sanction the uses of said tools. If you so choose to use such methods, this is at your own risk, and will not provide you any benefit as far as the linkshell's lotting priorities or point systems are concerned.

VII. Donation of Trigger Items

In the case of Sky/Sea:
- In the case that the donor is a Beyond member, they will be eligible to receive temporary lotting priority on one of the God/Jailer drops.

In the case of Limbus:
- In the case that the donor is a Beyond member, they will be eligible to receive temporary lotting priority on one of Proto-Omega/Ultima's drops.

In the case of Cloud Evoker:
- The donor will be rewarded with 500,000 gil as payment for his donation.
- The Monarch's Orb will be lotted by a Beyond officer and held as the linkshell's property to be used at officer discretion.

In the case of Monarch's Orb:
- In the case that the donor is a Beyond member, they will be eligible to receive temporary lotting priority on one of the rare/exclusive Bahamut items.
- In the case that the donor is a Beyond member who does not wish to receive a Bahamut item, the member is eligible to receive 500,000 gil as gratuity for donating.

In the case of tier four ZNM triggers:
- Because he has supplied the zeni and the other work of getting the pop, the donor of a tier four ZNM trigger will be given first pick over the loot. From the loot, the donor will be eligible to distribute at his choosing ONE item from each of the following TWO categories:

Category 1:
- Armor from the Enkidu's, Oracle's, and Aurum sets.

Category 2:
- Miscellaneous armor/weapons (such as Foolkiller, Alkalurops, and items from the Hachiryu sets).
- Miscellaneous synthesis materials (such as Cerberus Hide).

Note: PW triggers will be lotted by an Officer.

Example: Sarameya drops Oracle's Cap, Cerberus Hide and Hachiryu Haidate. The member who donated the set can choose to lot two of the three items, but the combinations have to be: Oracle's Cap and Cerberus Hide, or Oracle's Cap and Hachiryu Haidate. He can't take both the Cerberus Hide and the Hachiryu Haidate.

In the case of KS99 orbs:
- A donor receives all of the items which drop off his orb. The only exception to this is with Black Belt items, which will be distributed by an officer if the donor does not need them to complete the Black Belt quest.

VIII. Probation

Effective January 19th, 2009: All successful applicants are placed on a two-week (14-day) probationary period before being allowed to lot any items (excluding freelot) from the linkshell. Once this probationary period has been concluded, the applicant gains full membership status and is thereby rendered a full-time member.

IX. Drama and Attitude

All members of Beyond, whether trial, member or officer, are expected to follow a simple code of conduct. We are all humans behind these characters in this game, and as such a modicum of respect for each other and the existing rules is expected at all times. Snide remarks, insubordination, deliberately breaking rules, ignoring instructions, attending events/camps that ONLY benefit yourself and nothing else, and general childish behavior is absolutely forbidden.

As such, Beyond currently follows a three-strikes rule.

Your first offense will generally yield a private chat between the offending party and one or more officer.
Your second offense will yield a temporary adjustment levied against your lotting rights. This is public and can essentially knock you down several tiers for lotting, or prevent you from lotting altogether. Leaders reserve the right to instate point-based penalties for repeat-offense members.
Your third offense will yield a /breaklinkpearl.

At any point during these offenses you may appeal these decisions with another officer; but know that most of these situations that warrant a strike against you have already been discussed at length between officers and a consensus was reached before applying it to you.

Generally speaking, as long as you act as you would in real life with a group of close friends and family, then you will be fine and never need to deal with this. If however your actions do trigger this rule, and this is how you are normally with friends and family, then Beyond is not the right linkshell for you.

X. Officers and Moderators

- Currently, Beyond's Officer team is as follows: Vandyr, Leylana, Eleidon, Armell, Laron, Rhealana

- Additionally, we have two forum moderators available to assist potential applicants and those who have questions about the linkshell. They are: Cyren, Devdas
